#1 · Aug 28, 2011 My corsa easytronic is flashing F on the dashboard, but some time it changes back to N and starts fine and drives lovely, but the next morning the F is back again & wont start. It is reading the following codes: P0120,P0220,P0560,P0136 & P1523
The first was a Renault Scenic, with Automatic transmission problems. Quoted £1600 to repair, in the end cost me £50 for parts, £50 for oil, and I bought a clone Renault Can (diagnostic tool)for £150 which I later sold for £100. So that job cost me £150 quid and a couple of days spread over 2 weeks.
The method with pressing both pedals shows no errors. When I have "F" on the dashboard, the car doesn't show any error because the symbol of the car with the key flashes all the time. During one of the flashing F situations, I also noticed that the car does not see reverse gear at all. When I switch to reverse, the display is blank.
The flashing F is triggered by the gearbox ecu itself and any fault codes are stored in that ecu, not the engine ecu. The diagnostics you used (presumably opcom??) won't be able to talk to the gearbox ecu, only the engine ecu.. That's probably why you've got no fault codes.
