However it has a couple mods installed including San Andreas Multiplayer (SA-MP), so there's that. However if you want a clean original & free copy you'll get it here:
At this year's Connect conference, Meta was asked for more news on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' VR release by both UploadVR and Road to VR. However, the responses were less than informative
Is San Andreas still free? At launch, The Definitive Edition costs US$59.99, making it much more expensive than other remasters of classic games. However, there is a way to play the remastered version of GTA San Andreas for free, legally, albeit only on Xbox. You must have a Game Pass subscription, but Microsoft charges US$1 for a month's trial.
Is it still fun? Yes, it is, but it hasn't aged very well. However, if you are playing on PC, just install an ENB preset you like and some HD texture packs and it'll look much nicer. I think there's also a GTA V car pack, which are more detailed than the ingame cars, so it'd make sense to install that.
Is San Andreas still free? While Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is not free through the Google Play Store, I found a way to download a free mod version of the game through HappyMod. Once installed on your computer, you can transfer and install it on your Android device.
Some of the text strings in regards to a "trial" and so on seem to be reused from the original GameClub client, as is a lot of stuff within the new GTA SA update, just outright reused, but some of it has been changed to say "Rockstar" so it might be safe to say an RGL Mobile could have trials of their mobile games - think the EA or Ubisoft
